Magnalitsa: The Kobe Beef of Pork
Rich. Juicy. Incredibly marbled.
At Les Fermes BeauVan, we raise purebred Magnalitsa pigs outdoors, in a natural and respectful environment — producing pork that is unlike anything you'll find in a grocery store. This is premium, heritage-breed pork, raised slowly and thoughtfully just outside Montreal.
What Makes Magnalitsa Special?
Originally from Hungary, Magnalitsa pigs are a rare breed known for their
high intramuscular fat, often called the “Kobe beef of pork.” This marbling gives the meat its
distinct richness, deep flavor, and melt-in-your-mouth texture that chefs and connoisseurs crave.
Raised Right, Tastes Better
At BeauVan Farms, our Magnalitsa pigs are raised outdoors in fresh air and open pasture.
We prioritize animal well-being, allowing natural movement and foraging — which not only improves the animals’ lives but also enhances the quality and depth of the meat.
In colder months, we use insulated barn spaces for farrowing, ensuring healthy births and strong piglets, while keeping our sows safe and comfortable.
